Baku Seaside Boulevard
Baku Seaside Boulevard is one of Baku's attractions, a favorite place for recreation of Baku residents and guests of the city. In 2009 he celebrated his 100th anniversary. The length of the park, which is currently 3 km 700 meters, after the general reconstruction will be 25 km.
In 2007, in Primorsky Park, opposite the "Azneft" square, the opening of a musical fountain, which has no analogues in the world, was held. In 2008, the construction of the second fountain, built opposite the Government House, was completed. 15 amusement rides, Mirvari cafe, Bakhar cinema, summer children's theater parachute tower were renovated and restored.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated January 10, 2008, considering the importance of Primorsky Boulevard for the history, culture and environmental safety of the people, the Primorsky Boulevard Office under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan was created. In accordance with this decree, capital improvement and general reconstruction of the Primorsky Park was started, to which the Baku City Hall allocated more than $ 500 million. The territory of the Primorsky Park will be increased fivefold. Its length will stretch from the sea station to the village of Zykh and from the Palace of hand games to the Bibi-Heybat mosque.
Today, the National Seaside Park is undergoing major reconstruction, the green zone is being expanded and replenished, new musical fountains are being constructed, and the coastline is being modernized. After the completion of the works, its length will increase from the current 3 kilometers 700 meters to 25 kilometers, the famous overpass will be renovated, going far into the sea. All works are planned to be completed by 2015, and then the National Seaside Park that meets the requirements of the 21st century will appear in all its grandeur from Bayilovsky heights to Zykh. Already now there is a construction of new hotels and a business center in a modern architectural style. Particularly pleased that all industrial facilities located on the road to construction, will be moved beyond the city. This will help improve the ecological situation in the coastal zone of Baku Bay and in the city of Baku itself.
