Guba (Cuba) is one of the largest cities in Azerbaijan. It is located 165 km. to the north of Baku. The city was founded in the XV century, in the second half of the XVIII century was the capital of the Guba khanate.
One of the most beautiful cities in the country, Guba is especially good in spring, when its numerous gardens and parks blossom.


In Guba and its environs there are not a few historical monuments. Numerous mosques - the Cathedral mosque (XIX century), the Sakiny-khanum mosque (XVIII century), the Ardabil mosque (XIX century), the famous Juma mosque were preserved here. And also the House of the Guba Khan, medieval baths and a fortress.
The exposition of the local museum of local lore is rich, in which, besides other objects of material culture, there are skilful Guba carpets.
Equally beautiful are the surroundings of Luba. The Afurdzhinsky waterfall is 30 meters high and the Tengi canyon, amazing with its pristine beauty, is especially attractive for tourists.
Guba is a well-known center of carpet weaving. From here they bring souvenirs of local artisans and famous Guba carpets.
